Jaker Ali was hospitalized following an accident while fielding

Uncapped batsman-wicketkeeper Jaker Ali of Bangladesh was hurt while fielding during the third ODI against Sri Lanka at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium and was sent to the hospital.

Anamul Haque and Jaker Ali clashed as they tried to catch Pramod Madushan off Taskin Ahmed’s bowling. Jaker needed to be stretchered off the field.

In terms of injuries, Bangladesh’s day hasn’t gone well generally on the field. When stopping the ball, Soumya Sarkar slammed the advertising board, resulting in a neck injury. Mustafizur Rahman reportedly was forced to leave the game on a stretcher because of cramps. Tanzid Hasan was chosen to replace Sarkar as the concussion replacement.

Tanvir Ahmed took over for umpire Richard Kettleborough for this third ODI since he was unable to take the field owing to heat.
