Islamabad United brings Martin Guptill on board

Martin Guptill, a New Zealand opening batter, has joined Islamabad United to take Mohammad Waseem’s spot in the UAE. Islamabad had originally signed Waseem, but due to his commitments to the national team, the PSL team had to find a substitute. For live cricket streaming stay tune.

Islamabad brought in Waseem halfway through the ILT20 season, when he won best home player for the second straight year. The scheduling conflict between the PSL and the UAE’s Cricket World Cup League 2 campaign, which begins in Dubai next week, prevented them from using his services, though. March 9 is the deadline for that event, while March 10 is the last league game for Islamabad United.

In earlier iterations, Guptill played for the Karachi Kings and the Quetta Gladiators.
