Aliss Islam ruled out of the Sri Lanka T20Is

Due to a finger injury, Aliss Islam is ruled out of the Sri Lanka T20Is.

Due to a finger injury, uncapped Aliss Islam will not play in the forthcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka.

The national selection panel took notice of Aliss because of his performance in the continuing Bangladesh Premier League. Where his altered motion made him stand out as a mystery spinner.

In 2019, the young bowler achieved a hat-trick in his debut BPL match. even so, the 27-year-old cricketer had to go through a difficult time as he missed nearly a year of play because of dubious bowling action and injury problems.

In the current BPL, Aliss made a spectacular return, taking nine wickets at an economy rate of 7.17 in eight games, which enabled him to secure a spot in the T20Is against Sri Lanka.

But he couldn’t take advantage of the chance since on February 19. He hurt his finger diving during a game against the Sylhet Sixers.

“It is unlikely that Allison will play in the Twenty20 Internationals against Sri Lanka due to a broken finger,” Victorians coach Mohammad Salahuddin said.

Those who took part in the BPL final are expected to travel tomorrow. While the members of the Bangladesh T20 team have already arrived for the coming T20 series.

The Sylhet International Cricket Stadium will host the three T20I series matches.
